mUSYc Notes:
Teva Ilan and Marc Rosengart had a great MLK
weekend meeting about 50 other USY teens at
Camp Ramah Darom in the beautiful north Georgia
mountains for a USY Young Leader's convention
January 13 - 15th. This annual convention is called
RGBW (Regional General Board Weekend) and is
designed for chapter presidents and high school
freshmen interested in leadership. USYers enjoyed
a wide range of fun mixer activities to get to know
each other better, full participation in teen led Shabbat
services, Havdalah & a bonfire, and leadership
discussions.
The next USY convention will be the Ein Gedi
sub-regional held March 2 - 4th, 2012 at Congregation
B'nai Zion in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Israel
will be the theme of the convention, and all participating
USYers will enjoy home hospitality with
B'nai Zion families. Teens can travel to and from
the convention on a chartered bus with Atlanta
area USYers. More information and applications
will be out shortly on the www.hanegevusy.org
website.
In USY we can explore more of life's Chai notes together.
