Programming & Events

At Congregation Sha’arey Israel, our calendar is always full of meaningful, engaging, and fun community programming. Throughout the year, we come together to celebrate Jewish holidays, Shabbat, and special moments with events that reflect the warmth and vibrancy of our congregation.

The flyers below highlight just a sampling of the programs and celebrations we’ve enjoyed over the past year – from holiday gatherings to creative community experiences for all ages.

In addition to our on-site events, we occasionally offer off-site services and programs to support members living in surrounding communities, such as Sukkah hops in Warner Robins and Milledgeville, or a Shabbat in Atlanta for Atlanta CSI members. We also host a monthly Book Club, where participants enjoy thoughtful discussion on a wide range of Jewish and general-interest topics.

We are especially fortunate to be led by Rabbi Aaron Rubinstein, a highly skilled musician who brings an added dimension of spirit and beauty to our worship and celebrations. We are also grateful for the creativity within our membership, including one of our congregants, Laurel Robinson, who previously served as Art Director at Ramah Darom and often shares her talents through unique and artistic holiday programming like facilitating a Kristallnacht glass blowing event, and whose artful yads grace our Torah reading every Shabbat and holidays.

One of our most inspiring and creative traditions in recent years has been our Selichot experience, which beautifully blends reflection, music, and art as we prepare for the High Holy Days.

We invite you to view the flyers below from our recent events and click through our Past Event Photos to see all our fun. We hope you’ll join us for an upcoming event!
