How do we harness positive energy? That was the question the Rabbi and I discussed after our Adult Ed Meeting during the month of August. There were so many great ideas which came up.
We see similar positive energy with our Board of Education meetings. Great ideas that will provide our kids outstanding educational experiences.
One of the biggest challenges to harnessing all this energy is time from dedicated volunteers. We are all so busy in our day to day lives and time with family and loved ones is a precious commodity. We realize this and ask that when you have time or if there is a particular project you would like to assist with, let us know. We can always use help.
Speaking of using help, our Annual Fund Drive is now underway. This is one of our most important fundraisers during the year to help pay the bills. As stated before, there are many worthwhile charitable causes to give to. We only have our members to depend on for our fundraising. We ask that you please give preference to our Shul when deciding which charitable organizations you will support.
Thanks to the Ritual Committee for all their meeting and planning for the upcoming High Holidays. We will be making a few minor tweaks to our services which we hope will help things flow more smoothly and make our services very meaningful.
Marty and I would like to wish everybody a Happy Healthy New Year.
