I hope everybody had a great start to 2019! While most of us do a lot of self-reflection at the time of the Jewish New Year, some also do it again at the start of the calendar year. Being Jewish we have an opportunity to hit the reset button twice a year. What are those things you feel you need to improve on?
To those who have made a contribution to the annual Fund, we thank you for your generous support of our Kehilla. If you have not yet made a contribution to the annual fund, it is not too late.
As we start back the Religious and Hebrew School, I would like to thank the teachers, parents and all involved in the education of our children. We will have Coffee, Lox, and Bagels starting back up on Sunday January 6th. This is a great time to come and schmooze and get to know your fellow congregants.
We also will have a clear out sale of the Gift Shop this coming Sunday. As previously mentioned, we will be mov-ing the Gift Shop to only handle Ritual items moving forward. I also want to mention than if there is a ritual item which we do not have on hand that we need to order for you, we will be more than glad to order these items for you.
I hope everybody will purchase tickets for the upcoming Super Bowl Party on February 3rd. Anne Bayme and her committee have been hard at work putting together a great event. Even though the Falcons will not make it this year, come support your favorite team! This is one of our fundraisers which help support the operations of our Shul.
Coming shortly after that will be our Scholar-In-Residence weekend with Merle Feld. February 8-10th. Merle Feld is a widely published poet, award-winning playwright, peace activist and educator. http://www.merlefeld.com/We look forward to an excellent weekend.
Happy Healthy New Year to Everyone….. Again!
