Summer has just flown by! After a very challenging year and a half since the pandemic first reared its ugly head, we at CSI are doing our best to bring things back to a semblance of normal. Our children are heading back to school in their secular life, and we are busy making plans for CSI Religious School for both Sunday and Hebrew students.
We are continually reviewing CDC guidelines and staying informed on other Congregations’ procedures relating to Covid to protect everyone during services or meetings. Although masks up to now have not been required, nor have we required proof of vaccination, our Kehilla must be willing to follow the rules that exist at that time. You are not only protecting yourself by getting vaccinated and wearing a mask, but you also may prevent spreading the Delta version as it is much more virulent than the original Covid strain. This is not a political statement of any kind. This is based on the science only.
On a more pleasant note, the High Holidays are just around the corner. Unfortunately, we will not be able to have our pre–Yom Kipper/Kol Nidre dinner due to Covid. It has always been my pleasure to do that for our congregation; however, myself and others on the Board do not feel that we can provide food service in a safe manner.
Just a friendly reminder to return any red or High Holiday prayer books to the shul. If you wish to purchase them, please let Stephanie know. Please stay tuned for more exciting changes in the months to come. Hope to see all of you in shul or on Zoom!
